Well, let me invite you, this morning to turn in your Bibles to Genesis chapter 21. Genesis 21 for our time. Of study in the word, this morning. We're doing a series through the book of Genesis, and as we continue in our series to this book, we come this morning to Genesis chapter 21 and verse 22, and our goal this morning is to cover verses 22 through 34 and if you want to give a title to the message, it would be Abraham.
The covenant maker. Abraham, the covenant. Maker. We've seen Abraham as the recipient of covenant.
Up to this point of the narrative of Genesis, today we will see him passing on the blessings of that covenant and actually making a covenant with King Abimelech. but let me start off this way to help you to appreciate. The significance of what happens in our passage today. Donald Trump, our president, has been in the news a little bit this past week.
I think I saw a story about him somewhere on one of the TV channels, And since things are pretty crazy, right now, let me give you a crazy hypothetical scenario about Donald Trump and ask how you would handle this. Imagine that government agents acting in President Donald Trump's name came to your house and seized all of your vehicles. Your vehicles were paid for. One of them, you had even rebuilt yourself, but now that they have been taken from you, you're left without any means of providing transportation for yourself and for your family....
