Father, you are good to us today and we thank you that we get to be here. Thank you for life. Thank you for your word and what it teaches us. Thank you for being a presence in our life and to, and for drawing us to yourself, giving us light, giving us understanding.
And, giving us hope for the future. Lord, you're amazing to us. Your grace is overwhelming, and I just thank you so much for it and may, our time today as we spend in your word be very instructive for us, helpful for us, encouraging. And also enlightening that we may, live lives in a more reverent and godly way in Jesus' name.
Amen. Well, I hope you all had a good week this week. We're gonna be looking in to John chapter 6, the feeding of the 5000 today. what, we have our opening question.
What do we mean by literal interpretation and, that's just a sideline issue, unless, of course, you're a critic and, and, a biblical critic and And that may mean a lot to you. And so we'll, we'll be dealing with that a little bit today, but mostly we're gonna be dealing with Jesus' understanding or interpretation or even purpose of his miracle of the feeding of the 5000. That's gonna be the really the big deal of our lesson today. This, series is on the authority of Jesus, as we've talked about, before and, and we keep mentioning it because it isn't part of the context of, of our whole series....
