we thank you for the opportunity to be here, with the people of God on this day that you have ordained that we would worship you. And so we ask that you would guide us as we study this particular These passages and these concepts, bless our children as they learn them as well. we pray for also just the preaching of your word later as we sing the gospel, as we hear the gospel preached, as we minister our gifts to one another in Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
All right. So part of what we're gonna be trying to answer this morning is the question, is it possible to know truth? Christians would all say, yes. many people today would say, no, it is not possible to know truth.
I think is it Webster's Dictionary that said one of the words of the year is post-truth. this concept that, that we're living in a, in a world where truth is hard to understand and grapple with, One of President Trump's advisors used the term recently alternative facts, which the media has jumped on and they, and they really love using that term now, alternative facts. And it is, it is interesting in a living in a world that basically denies absolute truth, how much people are arguing about how important the truth is. and, and how vital it is to know the true facts, the whole concept of fake news and people from various perspectives are talking about what's fake and what's not fake and very concerned that everybody understand what fake news is and what real news is, and yet at the same time denying the existence of truth....
