Well, let me have you turn in your Bibles this morning to Genesis chapter 30. Genesis chapter 30, we are clipping along in our series to the book of Genesis, and as we continue in our study through this book, we come this morning. To Genesis chapter 30, and my goal this morning is to cover verses 1 through 24, and the title of the message this morning is Baby Wars. Baby wars.
we live in a day of reality television. and these reality TV shows often feature crazy scenarios and are full of conflict, between people along with the jealousy and the anger and the hurt and the dramatics that, go with all of that. but I'm convinced that as crazy as some of the reality TV shows, Nowadays are not a one of them. Comes close to capturing the melodrama.

You will recall from last week that Jacob fell in love with a beautiful woman named Rachel, and he worked for seven years in order to have the privilege of marrying her, but on his wedding night, he was tricked into Pledging himself to Rachel's less attractive sister Leah, and sleeping with Leah. Then 8 days later, he is finally allowed to marry Rachel. So within the span of 8 days, Jacob has gained 2 wives. We also learned last Sunday that when Leah was given to Jacob in marriage, she came with a maidservant named Zilpa....
