As you guys know, the, the focus this year is Christ in your weakness. we're focused on Christ being strong on our behalf. it's not very hard to identify our own weakness if the Holy Spirit has given us the eyes of humility to see it. We are weak.
That is an observable fact, but we lose touch of Christ's strength and so that's really the theme of everything that we're doing this year. And, last week, Alvin talked about what our sins evoke and just one portion that he covered, Ortland says he sides with you against your sin, not against you because of your sin. really appreciate that quote and the, and the job that Alvin did. But let's go ahead and pray and then we'll, we'll jump into our time, this morning.
Lord, we thank you so much that we have been made through your spirit a part of your own body. And that you have great compassion and pity on us and we thank you Lord that you stand with us against the sins that hamper us and you're not against us because of those sins you hate the sin and we pray Lord that we would hate our sins more but we thank you that you love us. we ask Lord that you would help us to really get our minds around the way that you view us. The world does not think this way, about us, and we, our own hearts condemn us, but you are greater than our hearts.
And so we ask Lord that you would help us to let you set the terms, by which you love us. We pray this in Christ's name. Amen. Right, this morning we're gonna cover two different topics....
