I want to ask you to turn in your copy of God's word to 1 Timothy chapter 6. Turn in your Bibles, please, to 1 Timothy chapter 6. We are continuing our study in this epistle. And just by way of backdrop, briefly, we know that the apostle Paul is the one writing to Timothy.
Timothy is a young pastor, in this Ephesian church. He is one of the overseers, one of the elders, one of the pastors of this church, and the apostle Paul himself is concerned. About Timothy, the apostle Paul in his concern for Timothy decides to, to write to him because he wants to build this man of God up into the faith. He wants to buttress him in the faith.
