Well, good morning. Thank you for being here with us to worship God together. And and to learn from his word. And I want to invite you to turn in your Bibles to Romans 12.
Where we will be looking at a portion of God's word this morning and seeking to hear his voice as he speaks to us with love and direction. We're doing a study through this part of the book of Romans and what we're learning here in Romans 12 is how to respond to the gospel and unleash the power and the glory, the freedom and the blessing of the gospel in our lives. And beginning in verse 9, Paul is telling us one of the ways to really unleash the gospel in your life is to walk in agape love. And fortunately, Paul does not just say, walk in agape, but he then It takes time to describe for us what Agape looks like, and we come this morning to the last phrase in verse 12, which is where we will be spending all of our time, this morning.
So if you want to give a title to the message, it would be, you can call it Loving One Another Part 5, but, devoted to prayer would be a more specific description of where our focus will be, this morning. just, a literal translation of this passage beginning in verse 9 that we've been using in recent weeks to help us. Paul says, Agape, here's how to walk in, Agape love. Here's what it looks like.
No hypocrisy, hating the evil, clinging to the good. Devotedness to one another in brotherly love, leading one another in showing honor, in diligence, not lagging, in the spirit being fervent, for the Lord serving. In hope, rejoicing, in tribulation, persevering. And this morning we come to this description of agape....
