last week, Pastor Milton delivered a message entitled Good Bad News from Genesis 3, and one of the verses that he covered said this. The woman said the serpent deceived me and I ate. And just a wonderful exposition of the passage last week and one of the things that's unique about Eve being deceived and Adam falling is that there was nothing really in their hearts at this point that would predispose them to sin. Eve was genuinely deceived without a sin nature.
But what is our world like since the fall? What is it that we deal with when we're dealing with temptations and dealing with deception? And so we're gonna be considering this broad theological topic under the title, How to Get Deceived, Real good. And since the fall, human beings have done an excellent job at getting themselves deceived.
2 Corinthians chapter 11, Paul says, but I fear lest somehow as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. And Paul's fears are legitimate, because there really is a devil and Christians, even born again Christians can be deceived as we're gonna see this morning. Now I have a lot of experience. to speak on this topic, I can preach with authority this morning, this morning because of my personal background....
