, let me invite you to, turn in your Bibles this morning to Nehemiah. chapter 2. Nehemiah chapter 2, we're gonna try to look at a sizable chunk of chapter 2 this morning. Nehemiah 2, if you want to give a title to the message, it would be, successful in action.
Successful in, action. It's interesting as we're reading through Ezra and through, Nehemiah, the occasions where we're encountering the Hebrew word for, success. two weeks ago, we looked at Ezra 6:14. Where we saw that the people of Judah were successful in building through the prophesying of Haggai and Zechariah.
And we see that word successful there. Last week, we listened in on Nehemiah as he prayed to God and Nehemiah one and said, I beseech you, Lord, make your servant successful today. And there's that word successful again. Today, we're going to see at the end of Nehemiah 2, Nehemiah is 900 miles away from where he has been.
He's in Jerusalem by the end of the chapter, and he says to his enemies, the God of heaven will give us success. Therefore, we, his servants will arise and build. And of course, he's talking about the building of the walls that Mike spoke about earlier in our service. The Nehemiah of Nehemiah 2:20 has come a long, long way from where he was in the early verses of Nehemiah chapter 1....
