Well, good to see you all. let me have you guys turn in your Bibles to First Timothy chapter one. For our time of study in the word this morning. First Timothy chapter one.
And, we're, we're doing a verse by verse study through the book of First Timothy. We began this series, through the book of First Timothy, a few weeks ago and, as we continue in our study of this book, we come this morning to 1 Timothy chapter 1, verse 3. And my goal this morning with the time that we have is to try to cover verses 3. Through 5.
And if you want to give a title to the message, it would be teaching that produces love. Teaching that produces love. And let me just begin by reading these three verses to you. In verse 3, Paul, Says this to Timothy.
He says, as I urged you upon my departure for Macedonia, remain on at Ephesus in order that you may instruct certain men not to teach strange doctrines, nor to pay attention to myths and endless genealogies which give rise to mere speculation. Rather than furthering the administration of God, which is by faith. But the goal of our instruction. Is love from a pure heart and a good conscience....
