Well, it's good to see all of you, Here today and now is the time in our worship where we open up the word together. And to that end, I want to invite you guys to turn in your Bibles to the book of Galatians. The book of Galatians. Today, we are beginning our series on the Book of Galatians.
And ultimately, we're gonna end up going through this book verse by verse as we normally do. And we're not gonna exactly do that this morning because what we're gonna do this morning is introduce the book. And if you want to give a title to the message for this morning as we introduce this book, it would be The Anatomy of a Gospel Emergency. The Anatomy of a Gospel Emergency.
Think about what an emergency is. I've used that term all the time, but I was thinking this week, what is an emergency? And I looked it up in the dictionary, and an emergency is a sudden, generally unexpected occurrence or set of circumstances demanding immediate action. Well, that's what we're going to observe actually happening that Paul is responding to in the book of Galatians.
How many of you have ever been involved in an emergency either as the victim or the helping in a situation like that? OK. I was reminded this week of an emergency that occurred 12 years ago. It was on a Saturday night, and my daughter, oldest daughter Brooke was about 5 or 6 at the time, and my son Brendan was 4 at the time....
