Friends and that you were reminded of all the things that you do have. To be thankful for. Cindy Okamura, we were hoping she would be here this morning to talk a little bit about the ministry of the week, and she's not here. Let me just say in a nutshell, the, the meals that we provided for the homeless and the needy people in the community, we ended up, this, that was this past Monday, we ended up having about 25 volunteers from the church show up, so tons of helpers.
And about 50 homeless needy people from the community showed up and. meals were provided for them. Steve McCullough presented a gospel presentation that was for the most part listened to and, and appreciated. there was one of the homeless guys there who was wondering what does the gospel have to do with Thanksgiving, but, what was also nice is it wasn't that there were 25 volunteers all sitting at a table by themselves watching these other people eat.
but they were all mingling and just had some great conversations, some broken lives, and some people really just open and frank about their own sin, their need for a savior, and how their sin has, has ruined their lives, and so, some doors were, were open in the hearts of the people who did come and, we just wanna thank God for. using Cindy Okamura and her leadership and all of those that volunteered for, for this ministry on Monday and thank you for your prayers also. let me make. one announcement here because this is, relevant to.
To what we're, we're doing next week. Next week is December 3rd, right? And you'll notice in your bulletin that there is an insert called gospel centered parenting, starting next Sunday, we're gonna combine all of the adult Sunday school classes into one, and that class is gonna take place here during the 9 o'clock hour, all right, so at 9 o'clock next Sunday. we're beginning our, December seminar....
