, well, let me invite you this morning to turn in your Bibles to Romans chapter 8. Romans chapter 8 for a time of study in the word this morning. We're doing a, verse by verse study through Romans 567 and 8, a journey to the heart of the gospel. And as we continue in our study of these, this section of Romans, we come this morning to Romans chapter 8, verse 4, and my goal this morning is to cover verses 4 through 8 and hopefully not leave any loose ends that we have to come back.
And, and sweep up in the coming weeks. And if you want to give a title to the message this morning, it would be Walking According to the Spirit. Walking According to, the Spirit, we're going to encounter the word walk in the second half of Romans chapter 8, verse 4. Up to that point, it's all the things that God has done in saving us, but then we're going to come to a key word, and that is the word walk that identifies what God wants us to do if we want the full fruition of God's saving purposes to be manifested.
in our lives, and we're gonna learn how to walk and what that walk that he has saved us for should look like. Let me start with this. I shared this a number of years ago. I'll share it again, because I've been here a long time and I run out of new illustrations.
