Anyway, we're, this Sunday going to be wrapping up our series on investing for eternity with the exception of this past Sunday. That's been our focus for the month of December. And, just given the times that we find ourselves in, we wanted this month to be a month where we take a deep breath and we just look at God's word and get biblical perspective on not only what's going on around us, but what God calls us to do with regard to our finances. And, we're very happy this morning to have Mr.
Jim Rickard, with us to be our speaker, for our service this morning. He is the founder and the president of Stewardship Services Foundation that is based presently for most of the year in Santa Clarita, California. He founded this, foundation in 1978, and the mission of this organization is to provide help to pastors, to missionaries, and to churches and Christian organizations, and to provide help to Christians in the area of finances. And I know they've been, they, they do free of charge tax returns for 2400 pastors and missionaries a year.
And I've done my tax return, a number of years and even the years where they don't, every single year, I'm calling them with tax questions. And Alvin, our church treasurer, is very appreciative of this particular ministry. we have been helped by Jim Rickard and by this ministry in a number of ways. In fact, about 10 years ago, Jim Rickard came and met with the elders.
And walked us through some very important biblical principles, regarding leadership and finances and the impact that he had upon your leadership in that meeting reverberates to this very day. So all of you, whether him or not or have heard him preach or speak or not, are the recipients of the benefits. Of the ministry that God has called him to. And we've asked him to come and to speak to us, on the subject of biblical stewardship, something he's very passionate about....
