Let me ask you to bow your head this morning. OK. Let's pray and let's ask God to help us to, Seize the opportunity that we have, It takes work on our part, but what Jesus did. He did the bulk of the work.
He died and shed his blood to obliterate. The hostility that once existed between us. And now it's a matter of just us walking in that unity that he has purchased for us. God, we, we thank you for your word.
Sometimes it speaks thrilling truths to us, Lord, that That are awesome to hear and then sometimes it, It roughs us up a bit and causes us to look at things in ourselves and even in our own history as a nation that we don't really prefer to look at, but there's value in looking at these things and learning from these things. But Lord, given the legacy that we've been handed, In this nation, help us as a church to seize the opportunity that it presents to us. To powerfully display your multicolored wisdom, your glory, to experience your love in the profoundest of ways as we pursue, enjoy, cultivate, protect, nurture a multi-ethnic unity of all places where this should happen, it should be in the church above all. And so help us to achieve your dream for us, the dream for which Jesus laid down his life.
As we process these things in our care groups, And with one another in our homes, Teach us what we need to learn and grow us as a people. To reflect your image. We just give ourselves to You, Lord, in the name of Jesus, and all God's people said, Well, let me have you guys turn in your Bibles this morning to Ephesians chapter 6. For a time of study and the word this morning, Ephesians chapter, 6, for those of you that are visiting with us, we're doing a verse by verse study through the book of Ephesians and just taking the scripture verse at a time....
