If we can find our way to our seats. OK, and now that you've found your seats, if you could be quiet. Well, I do want to thank you guys for, for coming out, tonight. And, joining us, in worship and, and some of the things that we're going to be talking about here.
Over, the next, little bit. This is going to be your night, as we'll explain, in a, in a few minutes, but I, I want to begin by talking to you guys for a little bit. on the theme of tonight, which is in the place of crying out. When we say that we're speaking of us putting ourselves in the position and even God putting us in the position of crying out to Him, in prayer.
And essentially, that's what I, I want us to focus on tonight is the subject of, of prayer. And, just, I want to begin my train of thought tonight by just thinking for a little bit about the Jerusalem Church in the Book of Acts. I don't think in church history, there is another example of a church that went from virtual nothingness to being a mighty church, not just numerically, but also, mighty in power and, and the experience of the genuine power. Of God, and earning the respect of the populace of Jerusalem, and even fear, people are, were afraid to join themselves to them if they weren't serious, about, their faith with great power, the apostles were giving testimony to the resurrection of Jesus.
The church grew from 120 on the day of Pentecost to 3000 in addition to that, and then, Many thousands more. Eventually, it, it reached all the way up to the religious establishment of Jerusalem. There were even priests that were becoming obedient to the faith. They, they rocked the city of Jerusalem....
