Well, let me invite you to turn in your Bibles this morning to First Timothy, First Timothy chapter one. Believe it or not, this Thursday is Thanksgiving. but it's amazing how, how fast this year has, Has gone, but here we are at that time of year where we take some time to focus on what we can be grateful for and for us as believers this particular holiday is a holiday that reminds us of what our mindset should be all the time, every day of the year. Also tonight at 6 o'clock in this building where you're seated now, we're going to have a combined Thanksgiving service with the evangelical Formosan Church.
They've got a special number or two that they're going to do. with their choir, I believe, and we're gonna open up the floor. We're gonna have mics up here, up front, for open mic sharing, and we've asked you guys to, give some thought to what you can, thank the Lord for in terms of how God has worked in your life over this past year. And try to put your thoughts together and come tonight prepared to share for about a minute, we, we want to give time for as many people to share as possible, but just put some thoughts together and come tonight prepared to not only glorify God, but also to edify your brothers and sisters as you give thanks to the Lord.
God has been active in all of our lives, and there is much to thank Him for. And with that in mind, what we're going to be doing today and next Sunday is we're going to be focusing on the theme of gratitude, OK? and we're focusing on it today, leading up to Thanksgiving, but then, the day after Thanksgiving, everyone forgets their gratitude and go shopping. so we're going to focus on that again on Sunday, OK?
and really try to hit this emphasis hard. Gratitude is monster huge and the benefits of gratitude in our life is also huge. A pastor, just a brilliant pastor who lived in the late 1800s, he died in 1923, I believe, John Henry Jowitt, do I have a PowerPoint today? OK....
