Well, we are in the middle. Of a series. This is the 3rd installment of a series that started a few weeks ago with Pastor Carlos called Moving Forward in Community. And when Pastor Carlos preached, he talked about biblical truths regarding relationships.
Last week, Pastor Milton talked about imitating a mega church where he reviewed the four values of Acts 2:42, and both of these sermons have an emphasis on relationships as necessary for growth. And my message this morning is entitled How Change Happens. And my particular focus is going to be around the doctrine of sanctification with a particular application towards our men. Now it's not that we're trying to be sexist or exclude the ladies.
In fact, everything I'm gonna say this morning will, be very rela applicational to our gals, but we wanna put a special emphasis in the application sense towards our men for a couple of different reasons. And let me just take a moment to develop this. Recent statistics on church kids, we're talking about kids that come to church and go to Sunday school. Indicate that between 80 and 90% of church kids are leaving the church when they leave their parents' house.
They're not going to church. They're not following Christ. The same percentage, 80 to 90% of kids surveyed that are currently going to church, when asked, Will you continue to go to church and follow your faith after you leave the home, 80 to 90% of our kids and evangelical families are saying no. People are realizing that we are not winning people to Christ fast enough....
