Let's pray and let's ask God to show us. The answers to the questions that we ask. Lord God, we We are living in downtown Baghdad every day, evil from without, soldiers from within waging war against our soul. It is so easy to lose our footing, to lose our traction.
It is easy to have limited mobility in our warfare. It is easy to find flames burning within, Lord, that have been put there, the very flames of hell. Burning in our own persons because we did not have our shield up. But you've made this very simple for us, Lord, just wrap ourselves in a mindfulness of the gospel and take it with us wherever we go.
And if we do that, we will experience the protection, the safety, and the victory. That you want us to experience in Christ. Teach us as we continue to work our way through this text, Lord, and help us in the days of this week to fully apply what we are learning. And we ask these things in Jesus' name.
