And if you want to give a title to our meditation, this morning, it would be the God we serve. The God we serve.
Indeed this is the beginning of our ministry year and one of the things I've been thinking about is like imagining from this day to this Sunday next year and the massive volume of ministry that will take place over the next 12 months. There will be much ministry rendered. There will be babies cared for and diapers changed in the nursery. There will be children taught the word of God and lessons prepared by those teaching and instructing.
There will be many prayers prayed. There will be children trained in the word through the Ina program and in the youth ministry. There will be much discipleship that takes place in the home. There will be retreats that are held and instruments that are played and rehearsals that are done and voices will be raised and dials will be turned.
And worship will be offered to God on many occasions. Men will be gathered around the Word of God, looking into God's word together. Women will be gathered around the Word and other venues and discussing what they are observing in God's word and sharing those insights with one another. Women will be discipling other women....
