Well, let me have you guys turn in your Bibles to Ephesians chapter one. Ephesians. chapter one. we are getting back to finally our study of the book of Ephesians, starting today, and as we launch back into our verse by verse study of this book, we come to Ephesians chapter 1, or chapter 6, verse 1.
And my goal this morning What did I say? Yeah, chapter 6, verse 1 through 3 is what I want to cover today. And we're going to be speaking to children today, and the title of the message is What to Do with Your Parents. What to do with your parents.
We spent the month of December talking to parents, telling them what to do with you. Today we're going to talk to you and tell you what to do with regard to your parents. surely as a child you have noticed this by now, that from your earliest days, you don't remember being born, I'm sure, but from your earliest days of memory you noticed that there were two people in your life, one who called themselves your mom and another who called himself your dad. And they were just there in your life.
And there was no decision on your part to put them there or even allow them to be there. And these two people seem from your earliest days to to feel responsible to take care of you and provide for you and to parent you. They also seem like they just assumed they had the right to tell you what to do and what not to do and to give you instructions and prohibitions. And they also from your earliest days seem like they acted like they had the right to discipline you....
