Let me invite you to turn in your Bibles this morning to Matthew 16. Matthew chapter 16. Just for today, I want us to spend some time in Matthew chapter 16, verses 13 through 17. And I want us to just take the morning to just gaze upon Jesus Christ.
And if you want to give a title to the message this morning, it would be, who is Jesus? Who is Jesus? Who is Jesus? To you.
If you were to survey people in our culture today and ask them this question, you would get maybe as many different answers to this question as people that you're asking. I don't know that throughout human history anyone has provoked a wider array of opinions about himself than Jesus Christ has. Maybe you're here today and you yourself don't even know for sure who it is that Jesus is. And we're going to allow him to direct us in that endeavor, this morning.
But if you were to ask people who is Jesus to you, you would get a variety of answers. some would say, I know Jesus is my homeboy. I've seen that, t-shirt around from time to time. I remember, a number of years ago, I was listening to a talk show....
