It's great to See all of you here this morning and And it's a blessing to gather together to worship God through song and also To, come together and open our hearts and to hear God as he speaks to us through His word. And that's what we'll be doing, over the, the coming moments. Let me invite you to turn in your Bibles to Ephesians chapter 5, Ephesians chapter 5 for our time of study in the word this morning, we'll be looking at verses 25 through 33 as a part of our series on marriage and if you want to give a title to the message this morning, it would be Husband. when a person falls in love and becomes smitten, By the love of another person, it's almost inevitable that they start singing, right? take me, for instance. I don't have a good singing voice, but when Donna became, who's my wife, when she became interested in me, When I was 17 years old, she literally brought music into my life. She was the most beautiful girl that I had ever seen and thoughts of her had filled my head for about 2 years.
Prior to that point and now at the age of 17 that I heard that she was interested in me, I literally began singing privately. In my car. And as I did my work as a janitor at Knights, which was my first job. When she broke up with me on 2 occasions.
During the first two years of our relationship, I sang Barry Manilow songs of, of heartbreak and longing while driving in my car and while I did my work as a janitor at night. If you could have heard me singing on those occasions, you would have observed that Donna was my song. She was the center of my life and she was really the only song that I had. So when I lost her after our second breakup when I was 18 years old, Life felt achingly hollow to me....
